Christmas walkies

This is what I like to call the 'rockerfella' of my little village, it's much bigger up close, about 20ft high and full from head to toe in lights. Me and Jess did pass this close by on the way home from our walk and Molly got to see it on hers :) 

I have bought the dogs a toy each and a stocking each for Christmas and I stored it away in our spare room on a high shelf. Well, I come home the other day to find that one mischievous puppy had found a way to get one of the stockings and they've then left it on the stairs when they couldn't get to the good stuff. I have no idea how it was possible for them to get it, I put it in that good of a place, but it was definitely one of them! Haha

a cosy christmas

Firstly, I hope everyone has had a fantastic Christmas. We certainly did :-) We woke up around 8am, had breakfast, opened presents and then had a dog walk. As it was still early, there was no one at all around and I loved that! Later on, family started to arrive and my Mum started cooking the dinner. Puppies definitely had a feast with us that day and then later on we settled down playing games whilst the dogs napped on the sofa. We received some very exciting news too... which I'm hoping to announce in mid January. It's something the dogs will definitely need training with but I'm ready for this new chapter, and I think they are too!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone from Me, Jess & Molly!

This was our Christmas card this year :-) I think I posted last years too but if not, it's a little tradition that my pups are the models on our cards every year haha.

I may not be posting much over the next few days with all the festivities that will be under way. I am so looking forward to spending all day, everyday with my two girls. They'll be sick of me before I go back to work haha. We're having 7 people round for Christmas day dinner and the girls will most definitely be getting a Christmas feast themselves :-).

Frantic finds

I know I've mentioned before about Molly having an obsession with finding things to hold in her mouth when she's excited, but today's made me laugh so thought I'd post it :-)

I came home from pets at home after finally buying the dogs a few things for Christmas, we was low on our flea and tick treatment so at the same time I bought a set of frontline to tie us over for a few months. Soon as I got in I hid the toys (Molly found a toy I had bought a few weeks ago when I was out so had to get more toys!) but left the flea treatment in the bag and just went to say hello to the girls. As always excitement followed and Molly stuck her head in, grabbed the box of frontline and ran round the room with them haha.

I'm now off work (bar 4 hours of karaoke and quiz time on Monday) until Jan 2nd, so lots of time with my pups and were looking up a new trick to learn today! :-D

yearly christmas shoot

I'm back from New York & missed my girls terribly (although they certainly got a few presents from the big city and I got one heck of a home coming)

As I'm feeling christmassy I thought I'd post the below, even if it is a little early :-)

Ever since I was old enough to hold a crayon I would make my family cards for special occasions. Doing this definitely made me prefer making them rather than buying cards that are produced thousand times over across the country. Of course, when I reached the teenage years I had a few off years.... and then came my love of photography & digital & editing etc.

and this once again started me making cards. They we're usually of the girls with my favourite picture of them that year... but not this year!

Now I don't have the proper screens or lights and I've made a thousand mistakes BUT photography is a growing experience and I'm that sort of person who learns whilst doing and gets better the more I do it.

So I got a few bed sheets and curtains, a few Christmas lights, one ring of tinsel and a father Christmas headband and WHOA-LA..... my girls Christmas cards were sorted!

Next time, I would love more lighting, I'd get more fairy lights and I'd prefer a proper screen but my two darlings were superb, their "stay" was spot on and I hardly noticed the drool that was bubbling at the sides as I balanced a slice of ham on my forehead whilst I took the picture - don't worry, they got rewarded frequently!

These arn't the actual cards but they're a few of the pictures taken to create them. This year, I got to do 3 versions of a christmas card for relatives. My eldest brother get Molly, My older brother get Jess & my parents get the two of them :-)
