mischief

This was going to be this weeks fetch back friday but oh my gosh these didn't half make me laugh.

I love that age when puppies are just getting everywhere and into everything!
I would never breed a dog, there are too many needing homes but it was an experience I will never forget and I miss so much!
Look at my baby Molly!!!!!!!
I'm going to do a puppy post all of her own :)

throwback on Molly's teenage years

Well... I know our pups aren't 'teenagers' for years ha ha but Molly well and truly went through that phase. The times when her legs are waaaay too big for her body and her ears don't yet fit her face (who am I kidding, that's still now! ha ha) and also the time when they decide they no longer want to listen to their human/mum!

Molly was the best behaved puppy out of Jess's 4. She was the quietest and to be honest, she just loved cuddling and having people fuss over, very different to Scooby and Millie who were complete rebels from the moment they could walk. But when Molly hit about 6 months she decided she would turn in to the most stubborn little thing around, maybe it's the border in her? she was very difficult throughout a few months so I now always refer to it as the teenage ages, we went to doggie school and I think she tested the teacher too ha ha!

It's well and truly a phase that is gone now, as she listens to me more than Jess now and is very in tune to me but I'll never forget her rebellious in-betweener stage :-)

a quick puppy throwback

I'm just sorting all my pictures on to Cd's to keep them safe and came across hundreds (and hundreds) of puppy pictures, I'm always upset that I didn't have my big camera when I had the puppies but these still hit the spot in giving me a big smile. I strained myself to not post them all ha ha.

I miss those fat little bellies & milk feeding them from a baby's bottle (Jess got very sore mastitis and from about 3 weeks couldn't breastfeed as they started bleeding and scabbed over). They literally took over my life for 8 weeks, woke me continuously throughout the night as they were done with sleepy time, they weed and pooped more than I ever thought was possible, they vomited all over each other after there first night on solids, was bathed together and ran havoc in the garden during play time.... and you know what, I can't help but look back on that time with complete fondness!! I will never breed my dog or any dog in the future as I'm so passionate about rescues, but I'm definitely swaying to fostering in need puppies to get this crazy faze again.

the office pup

Today at work a 4 month old pup was almost ran over by some collougees.

He was a staffie X and the sweetest, playfulest most gorgeos pup and I can't explain how much I wanted to walk home with him right there and then.

Of course with my dogs at the moment, and the training we need to undertake it just wasn't possible so I stopped my actual work and called a no kill dogs home to see if they had a spot available... and they did!

He wasn't microchipped and had no collar but seemed to come from a pretty good home (he could sit and give both paws on command which is really good for such a hyper active baby)

He was in the office for almost 4 hours and they came to take him away, I swear I was close to tears when the dog warden put him in his van and he even said "I'll sign him over to you right now if you want him?"

Of course I couldn't but everything in me wanted to keep him and I just have to pray his adopted to a great home that will love and spoil him!

Is it bad that I want one more pup?
