Drama over :-)

I can't say how releaved I am right now, but I'll start at the beginning....

Just under two weeks ago, I spotted a large, circular, angry red lump on Molly's head (just inside her ear). At first I wasn't really worried, just assumed it was a boil or something... then I did that stupid thing by googling the lump and I found one almost identical with the heading "canine tumors", and I completely went into panic mode.

I work full time and we have been very under staffed for a few weeks as it's end of business year. The only chance of getting Molly to the vets lay with my parents who had to jump on a 12:10pm flight to Germany. My Mum was amazing, she insisted to my Dad that they take her to have a check up and almost lost their holiday through it (thankfully they made it to the airport in time).

She was given a week of medication to bring the lump down but it didn't go away.

So we went back to the vets, I went this time too, and the vet scaled it down to a 50/50 chance of it being a lump through a reaction which is nothing to worry about or it being full blown cancer. I was so scared.

I explained that I was worried about putting her under anesthetic as her heart murmur, so he checked her heart much more thouraghly than the other vet, he got his watch out and timed every single beat of her heart for over a minute and it turns out she does not have a heart murmur, it's in perfect condition!

After hearing that I decided to just put her under and get rid of the lump.

So on Monday, Molly had yet another operation and they cut the lump out, stitched her up and I got to take her home again :-) I took the day off work and My Brother was amazing for picking us up and taking us home.

Then today, we went back to the vets for the results... I had a mini meltdown in the reception when I got so worried it was bad news I couldn't concentrate or talk. The assistant said "oh, has no one called you?" I said no and she looked at her computer screen reading the results and all she said was "oh, well.. Magda will go through them with you in your appointment". I was so worried at this point. It must be bad news or they would just tell me, right?

Anyways, it was the longest 5 minute wait till we could go through and when we finally got in the room the vet said "oh, it's nothing to worry about, would you like to read the results?" so I read them... and I was so releaved I just started crying. I was convinced they was going to tell me bad news so it hit me like a wave of goodness :-)

So yeah... that's all why I haven't blogged recently. I was so worried I thought writing would jinx it... or make it all more real, if that makes sense? So glad it's all over now and we can get back to normal!
