Molly's sixth Birthday

Can you believe it!?!??!

My little slug… my little pig, pup dup, puppy, Boll Boll has turned SIX years old!!

I find it sad when my dogs get a little older, it's a bit like nearing the next decade for humans, thirties, forties and so on... but I always make sure we have an amazing day!

Molly's Birthday consisted of an extra long walk and the field and the path, snuggles, birthday singing (yes I sang) and a baked Pumpkin and peanut butter loaf, which she loves!

I am so grateful to have my girls in my life. Here is to many more Birthdays and celebrations!

Jess's sixth birthday/gotcha day celebrations :)

Today, September 28th 2014 is officially six wonderful, hard, crazy, amazing years since my Jess came in to my life.

She is my world, my baby, best friend and confidante. My protector.

I have told the story countless times on when I first lapped eyes on the skinny 12kg, tan, staffy cross in Manchester Dogs Home. She was in the second cage, first one you see when you walk through the door when entering adoption row. She shared a cage with 2 other dogs and apparently wasn't very fond of one of them... stubborn missy from the get-go ;)

She got kennel cough on our first night and was so snotty, coughing, wheezing, my poor baby.

Over time she taught me so much, about second chances, rescue dogs, the past doesn't define our future, happiness, growing up, friendship and caring for others.

Today has consisted of eating birthday pupcakes (carrot, peanut butter, honey & cheese... they are a massive success), having a long walk, dinner was chicken breast, sweet potato, sausage and a few vegetables for good measure, presents and some goats milk to end it off :)

I cannot wait to experience many more years with my little pudding.

Molly's fifth birthday and Halloween

On halloween we celebrated Molly's 5th birthday (I cannot believe my puppy is FIVE!!!!). We didn't have a whole lot on as I'm still trying to get used to the fact it is pitch black by the time I get home from work at 5pm and that it is now officially winter over here!
She did get some new toys and some treaties :). One toy I had bought a few days earlier and left it in the carrier bag when I got home, I left it for a matter of seconds and Molly had gone in to the bag and found it so she got one toy a few days early ;)

This year Jess also got involved with the carving of the pumpkin... And when I say got involved I mean she tried to run off and eat it. Every time I turned my back she had ran off with the lid in her mouth, it's safe to say Jess now has a new favourite snack! I wasn't sure about feeding her raw pumpkin so I didn't let her gorge on it but she did get a few sneaky bites!

I had planned some pictures of Molly with the pumpkin however I realised unlike Jess, Molly was actually scared of the thing. She sniffed it and let me take a couple of pictures of her next to it but she definitely was not a fan!

4th Birthday

Today is my Molly's 4th Birthday... I can't quite believe it to be honest, I feel like she never grows from being the tiny puppy who was scared of stairs and loved sitting in the nice warm house when her siblings were causing havoc in the garden.

As much as I dislike my pets getting older, you really can't not like a birthday ;-)

She got so many presents, one of them, she loved so much, Jess got a little jealous and spent 30 mins staring at Molly with the saddest eyes cos she didn't have one, so next trip to Pets at Home Jess will get her own :-) It's really that good!! And Molly got an official dog glow in the dark ball. It's amazing!

Happy Halloween :-)

Tongue attack

Yep the tongue attack is here! Molly is a huge licker. She licks everything from humans, to bedding to leather to wallpaper. She's a strange pup! It's her 4th birthday on Halloween and I've bought some exciting treats that ill post about as soon as I receive them from the post man! :-)

Ps sorry about all the iPhone posts, they're easy to do on the go but I do have a few proper posts on the way :-D

4th Gotcha Day

Yesterday was my Jessie's 4th Gotcha day!
4 Years as my little pup & 4 years as a best friend.

It's been a crazy journey up to now, we have gone from cat crazy to dog mad, we've climbed mountains, travelled, learnt tricks, had puppies, got Jess playing with toys, gone on amazing walks, gone on very stressful walks and made our own little pack.

Unfortunately Jess's birthday fell on a work day so we didn't get to do everything we had originally planned, however, that means her birthday has to be 2 days long instead of the 1 ha ha.

She got her pressies once I got home from work, today we went on our walkies, we had planned our special plato walk, however, with all the floods recently, my girls were almost swimming to get through the entrance path and my knee high hunter wellies were very close to over-flowing! So we ended up having to do our usual walk instead. It was still fun though and we made the most of it :-)

Girlies are getting Chicken breast, potato and carrots for dinner tonight... like I said, we're still celebrating!

Molly is THREE!!

Last Monday we celebrated Molly's third birthday! I'm still in shock my puppy is 3!

I was working on her birthday as it fell on a Monday but through the clocks going forwards I woke up an hour before I usually do so we had extra time opening presents and playing a good game of fetch.

I was most excited about a new Frisbee I had bought her. She's never really played with one before, we do have one but it's plastic so she never really bothers with it. I had hoped that as this was a soft but sturdy rubber she would like to finally play with it and I was right! She absolutely loves it but I can't leave her alone with it as she'll sit there chewing through it.

She got quite a few presents and of course she's now stocked up with bouncy/ squeaky/ tennis balls, so she's a pretty happy pup at the moment.

and of course, she also received her rawhide birthday cake :-)

3 Years with Jess

I'm in a slight state of shock that this past Wednesday I celebrated the third year anniversary of adopting Jess!

She has come so far since I brought her home, gained weight, trusts people and loves attention.

Unfortunately I was working on her birthday (I was so sad when I found it wasn't on the weekend) but I woke up half an hour earlier, gave her her presents (she absolutely LOVED her rawhide bone birthday cake) and after work she had a run in the field.

Hopefully, I'll we will have many many more years to celebrate together!

Now have Molly's third birthday next month - can't believe she's so big!
